Referral Process

1. County Social Workers, Juvenile Courts and Probation representatives, school administrators, and legal guardians may  initiate referrals with the Contract Agreement (CA), a release of information form, and a referral form. The referral will include the DSM IV Diagnosis, the CANS or GAF score.

2. All Virginia Medicaid families requesting Intensive In-Home Services or Therapeutic Day Treatment services must the contact their local CSB to schedule an assessment through the Virginia Independent Clinical Assessment Program (see flyer below).

3. When a CA is issued, the Referring Agency requesting the service may indicate the frequency and duration of the service.

4. A TIME clinician will then conduct a diagnostic assessment on a client if it is mutually determined to be needed, and mutually agreed upon between legal guardian and TIME clinician to do this assessment.

Please give us a call and we would be happy to guide you through this process.
