As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am devoted to the treatment of children, adolescents and families. I am a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider in the state of Virginia and concentrate this area of work with juvenile sex offenders and children who have acted out sexually against other children. I have worked with families and children in the home for 12 years and was clinical director at a children’s residential treatment facility for 3 years. I have worked extensively with children with severe behavior problems and with their families in the home and in out-of-home placements.
Specifically, I treat children and adolescents with a broad range of psychological and behavioral issues including: bipolar disorder, adolescent issues, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, sex offenses. Services include the development of treatment goals and strategies to meet identified needs. The individual therapy will have the capability to address a variety of problems and issues that are specific for that individual child. All TIME therapies are strength based and solution focused. The focus of treatment is to empower the family and to assist the child to address his or her functioning and to assist the child and family to move toward appropriate conflict resolution and improved emotional growth.

William Edison Fairhurst has been working with children, adolescents and families on multiple levels since 1997. He began his career in Holyoke, Massachusetts at the Center for School Crisis and Assessment where he grew to be the site coordinator of School Transition and Employment Project (STEP). Will transitioned to teaching special education in a behavioral modification setting in the Springfield Public School system for two years prior to moving to Virginia. Will was also a High School Varsity Football coach from 1997-2003. Since moving to Virginia Will has worked in multiple roles and settings. From a large residential facility to smaller group homes in the community Will has held such positions as Director of Residential Services, Trainer, Group Home Manager and Supervisor. Working with individuals and families became Will’s focus and he moved into the field of Community Based Mental Health.
